With Ansum pizza serving the best pizza in town, DJ Phil spinning the finest selection of vinyl for the evening and goodie bags provided for purchases over £30, not to mention 15% off EVERYTHING instore for the evening, this party is turning out to be quite the classic. We’ll also be running a bar out of the coffee shop serving some of our favourite wine, beers and cocktails! 6:30 till 9:30, Thursday 25th of May.

It may be Earth Day today, but it's on our minds everyday.
Increasingly conscious of what we sell and what we do, seeking out brands with cool credentials has become a key factor in our buying process and we’re commited to working with brands which put the environment at the core of what they do. We’ve picked out a handful of these responsible brands to share their innovative and climate positive ways - check’em out!
GANNI are continually focused on becoming the most responsible version of themselves, committed to making better choices every day and minimising their social and environmental impact. This season 97% of the GANNI ready-to-wear collection consists of responsible styles, meaning at least 50% of the composition is certified organic, lower-impact or recycled. This marks a major milestone on GANNI’s journey to become the most responsible version of themselves. Nudie Jeans produce denim using a high-proportion of lower-impact materials that help limit chemicals, water, and wastewater in it’s supply chain. A typical pair of Nudie jeans consist of 80% virgin organic cotton and 20% pre-consumer Nudie Jeans recycled cotton. Alongside this, Nudie have been ranked as industry leaders 8 years in a row by the Fair Wear Foundation, an organisation that works to improve conditions for workers in garment factories. Earth is a conscious core collection by YMC, a refined edit of their favourite styles from over the years, sustainably constructed from natural, organic and/or recycled materials. Produced in collaboration with a selection of knitters, mills, factories and laundries who specialise in environmentally responsible manufacturing methods and social accountability. SHOP YMC

Manufacturing effective, eco-friendly skincare that harnesses all the goodness of seaweed picked on their doorstep in Margate - natural products, from natural origins. Haeckels are driven by a desire to solve the waste problem – be that through making use of use of waste natural resources in products, or packaging that is fully recyclable or compostable. Amongst other organic materials, Thinking Mu champion use of organic hemp which regenerates the environment and reduces impact. Hemp needs 95% less water than cotton, absorbs CO2 as it grows, needs almost half the area for it’s cultivation than cotton, prevents soil erosion, doesn’t require the use of chemical pesticides or fertilisers, grows rapidly and vigorously in a wide variety of climates and produces a whopping 250% more fibre than cotton! WOW what a fantastic night we had last week for the launch of our 10th Birthday celebrations, here are just a few of the photos from the night, outfits from the catwalk and a link to the epic playlist created by Phil - so many good memories it was hard to choose!
This season we have an abundance of stripes and checks, so we thought why not dedicate a category to this simple geometric style and who says you can't wear them together? Highlights include Ganni gingham, and Hickory Stripe pieces from both Stan Ray and L.F Markey.
This category was inspired by summer days in the countryside, think traditional customs; May Day, barn dances, embroidery, flowers and soft, muted colours.
Brands such as Meadows, YMC and L.F Markey often embody the folklore style. Frequently featuring embroidery, bold use of colour and detail to the highest level. Here’s our nod to those hazy summer evenings…
We have a great tradition of camping here in Cornwall. Some have the camping holiday down to a fine tuned operation, while some us us (Roo and Swanny we’re looking at you…) are only fair weather sort of people. With just one ‘glamping’ exception, these looks embrace the great outdoors in a simple, stylish way.
We’re not known for occasional wear here at Roo’s Beach, we’re a pretty relaxed and laid back store. However, everyone loves an excuse to get dressed up. Wether it’s a Summer Wedding, a Garden Party, or this Summer we’ll have Charlies Big Day when we see King Charles take to the throne!
Having embraced a simple way to camp, the next pursuit is the Beach Day. From Cornwall, we’re dreaming of more glamorous days on the Amalfi coast (or Ibiza, or the South of France), with big sunnies on and an Aperol Spritz in hand, sun just beginning to go down and the promise of a sundowner session just beginning to ramp up.
Leopard Print. You saw this coming right? It’s the ultimate feel good print and never dates. Ganni takes the lead when it comes to leopard print, with Bellerose and Lolly's Laundry joining the leap.
Our final category had to be disco as this is a celebration after all. The effortless cool of the 70’s, the decade that brought us the best mix of music, style and an ethos to live or lives by. Think bold colours, bright shirts, and a carefree and fun outlook.
Those who have known us for a while will remember that we started off with a pink logo, before the boys arrived and we made the switch to orange. As part of our 10th Birthday celebrations, we’re throwing it back to our pink origins with an exclusive from our best-selling brand over the years, American Vintage. We bring you their HAPYLIFE sweatshirt in our best-selling colour - Neon Pink!

Self described ‘gothsters’ John & Mathilda, with their 3 children Axel, Rasmus & Dusty in tow. The couple are redefining roadside dining with their cafe Strong Adolfos, described as “essentially a roadside cafe, but effectively much more”.
